'Rapt'

A colourful sky at dusk or dawn can have me completely absorbed, bringing a sense of awe and wonder at how this is all created naturally. The line of birds that fluttered across the horizon, as if they were playing a game of follow my leader, made me beam with happiness.
The horizon has an almost fiery orange which eases to dusky pinks in the upper clouds. There is an almost purple haze to the meadows below that evokes that warm glow of rapture.
The frame is hand painted in a dark grey with a hint of violet that sets off the colours in this painting beautifully.
