'Gladness'

This piece captures a fleeting moment that brought a smile to my face and a gladness to my heart. Looking out at a beautiful sunrise, whilst a small line of birds dance gaily across the sky, made me stop and take a breath and be thankful for what nature can show us.
I have used an almost fluorescent pink to bring a warm glow to the clouds, which is then contrasted with a touch of cool turquoise in the mistiness of the meadows below.
The frame is hand painted in a dark grey with a hint of violet that sets off the colours in this painting beautifully.
