'Finding Balance'

'Finding balance' is inspired from standing on the shoreline on the Isle of Arran, gazing across to the distant horizon line of the mainland.
Life can be very fast paced and it can be hard to find times to stop and take a breath. I have found it fundamental to my mental wellbeing to find and create more inner balance, which I can get from being outside or when making art.
My intention for this painting is to bring ease and create a space to rest and reset. The cool colours of turquoise, creams and blue-greys harmonise beautifully with warmer sienna browns and salmon pinks to fill one with a sense of serenity. I have loved getting lost in my process of imprinting different textures into the paint that results in inobtrusive patterns that entice you to come closer and find joy and peace in the rich surface textures. The white hand painted tray frame sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures, with the cream edges of the panel creating a warm glow in the shadow gap.
UV varnished.

Unframed is 40cm x 40cm. £440. The sides are painted light cream.
Framed is 43cm x 43cm. £480 in a hand painted white tray frame. It will come ready to hang, strung and screwed in place

In the UK, I send items by Royal Mail or Parcel Force, and aim to have orders packed and shipped within five working days.
