'A Stillness Within'

'A stillness within' is inspired from the view across the sea from the Isle of Arran.
Standing on the shoreline I can feel my myself recalibrating within, coming back to a more balanced and happier level. I love letting a feeling of peace wash over me, creating a stillness within, much the same as when I practice meditation.
My intention for this painting is to bring ease and create a space to rest and reset. The cool colours of turquoise, creams and blue-greys harmonise beautifully with warmer sienna browns and salmon pinks to fill one with a sense of serenity. I have loved getting lost in my process of imprinting different textures into the paint that results in inobtrusive patterns that entice you to come closer and find joy and peace in the rich surface textures. The white hand painted tray frame sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures, with the cream edges of the panel creating a warm glow in the shadow gap.
UV varnished.

Unframed is 50cm x 50cm. £620. The sides are painted light cream.
Framed is 53.5cm x 53.5cm. £660 in a hand painted white tray frame. It will come ready to hang, strung and screwed in place

In the UK, I send items by Royal Mail or Parcel Force, and aim to have all orders packed and shipped within five working days.
