Original painting in acrylic on cradled wooden panel.

This was the first painting that sparked off this series, where I was wanting to express a feeling, rather than depicting a specific place. My process involved using a variety of tools to apply acrylic paint in a more lively and gestural manner, aiming to recreate the feeling of freedom and aliveness I feel when out amongst nature. I have hand painted the frame in a warm brown grey colour that really sets off the painting beautifully, as pictured here.

This painting is UV varnished then polished with a cold wax finish

Unframed is 30 x 30cm. The sides are painted grey.

Framed is 34 x 34 cm in a hand painted dark taupe tray frame.
